Scottish Allotments and Gardens Society (SAGS) are putting the final touches to their ‘Centennial Gathering’ on Saturday 16 June. The day will start by looking back at the history of Scottish Allotments using material from archives. Moving forward to the present, they will look at how projects are addressing issues around food security for disadvantaged people, those in Care Homes and how tens of thousands of ‘citizen scientists’ are helping with global environmental monitoring to improve sustainable practices.
