3 - 4 September - FCFCG 30th anniversary celebration event
The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens celebrates its 30th birthday in 2010. To mark the occasion we are celebrating community farming and gardening in the UK with a 30th anniversary national gathering and conference in Nottingham. This event will include a conference session at the University of Nottingham's Jubilee Campus, workshops and site visits, as well as a civic reception and a celebration ceilidh. 9 – 10 September – Spaces by Design, Scotland
The Glass-House in partnership with the Development Trusts Association Scotland is providing a free interactive design training course for community groups, who are in the early stages of regenerating a communal space, park or play area in their neighbourhood. The course provides a practical exploration of the design process of an open space, and enables participants to apply design skills to the space they are working on. Details here

16 September - Playing Outside - A Children in Europe special conference supported by Fife Council
The conference will review research into outdoor activities, play and nature and explore ways in which outdoor play can be re-invigorated in a cost-effective way. Details here
23 September - Paths for All National Networking Event 2010
The theme of this year's event is 'celebrating diversity'. The programme will showcase the range of settings and people Paths for All work, and walk with, along with the usual walkers’ stories, experiences from volunteers and presentations from professionals involved in both health promotion policy and practice. This is a free event, but participants are required to book in advance
28 September - Living Streets - Working Together to Create Healthy Environments

7 - 8 October - Making Space 2010 International Conference
The two day conference is designed to encourage debate and stimulate discussion on promoting innovative design, allowing architects, planners and those working with young people in a variety of settings to share ideas and challenge conventional architectural approaches. They will also look at the vision and delivery of Scotland's Building Better Schools document and School Estate Strategy. more

13 October - Training course - Community Groups involvement in Neighbourhood Renewal and Community Safety
In order to develop effective neighbourhood renewal and community safety programmes it is vital that local community and resident groups play a full part in the process from the inception and planning of the programme through to its implementaion. management and evaluation.
