Scotland's first Land Use Strategy and an accompanying consultation report has been laid in the Scottish Parliament. The Strategy signals a change in the ways that we approach land use across the country and will influence a wide range of land-use decisions. There is a wide consensus that we are not getting the best from Scotland's land even though we continue to demand more and more from it. The Land Use Strategy for the first time takes a strategic approach to the challenges facing land use in Scotland.
