The Central Scotland Green Network is a national development within the National Planning Framework which aims to make ‘a significant contribution to Scotland's sustainable economic development’. It involves public agencies and stakeholders working together to align their policies, programmes and actions to achieve a common aim. That aim is to change the face of Central Scotland by restoring and improving the rural and urban landscape of the area.

greenspace scotland is working with the CSGN Support Unit and Lead Partners to support the development of the Green Network. CSGN-related work has included

• facilitation of a series of consultation workshops to inform and shape future action to deliver the Central Scotland Green Network
• development of a stakeholder engagement strategy for CSGN
• CSGN¹⁰ – a project to map out the places within the CSGN that people value and cherish and to identify opportunities to enhance these places, create more like them and for the green network to join them together
