This conference aims to bring together officers, managers and elected representatives across Scotland working in national and local government, NHS, housing associations, higher education, utilities and others involved in managing land assets to explore and understand the potential of greenspaces for green energy.

The event will be the primary forum for sharing the results of the 18-month Rethinking Parks project to understand the potential of public greenspace to host new energy infrastructure and support low carbon energy services. It will also feedback on feasibility work funded through Local Energy Scotland's CARES scheme investigating low carbon energy options in five public parks in Falkirk and North Lanarkshire.

The conference will be of interest and relevance to staff working in areas of energy, sustainability, property and asset management, greenspace management, planning and regeneration, housing, transport and community empowerment. It has a direct relevance to those involved in energy masterplanning, Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies (LHEES) and action plans to address the Climate Emergency.
