Clydesdale Community Initiatives (CCI) have welcomed an addition to their premises at Langloch Farm, with Lanark in Bloom successfully relocating there at the end of August. Ground has been levelled and sheds, greenhouse and polytunnels erected. The green fingered volunteer led group are now working on creating two raised beds from reclaimed wood and laying gravel donated by neighbouring Cemex Quarry.

Lanark in Bloom is a volunteer led community group established in 2004. This year they retained a Gold Award in the ‘Medium Towns’ category in the ‘Keep Scotland Beautiful Competition’ and scooped up the "Haddington 700" trophy for their initiative and commitment to bringing back Castlebank Park gardens to their former glory.

Lanark in Bloom volunteer, Emma Gibson, said:

“We have been overwhelmed by the support from CCI and other local businesses throughout the move, not forgetting our social media followers and the town’s people of Lanark.

The task of relocation had been very daunting at first but with the love and support we are receiving each day it only makes our efforts more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone for your continuous support to keep our town looking beautiful and of course a special mention to our funders, we couldn’t have done any of this without you.”
