Paths for All have launched a new online map detailing over 670 free, friendly and fun Health Walks across Scotland.

The walks, spanning from Lerwick to Dumfries, are led by trained volunteers and are suitable for all abilities, lasting around 30 minutes. With hundreds of the walks taking in local greenspace as part of the route, joining a Health Walk is the perfect way to enjoy some fresh air in local nature, whilst meeting new people and improving physical and mental health too!

Ian Findlay CBE, Chief Officer at Paths for All, commented: “People are often surprised by how a simple, weekly walk can become such a big part of their lives. We see people build strong friendships on Health Walks and discover little bits about the local history and wildlife of the places where they live that can give them a whole new meaning and stronger sense of community.”

The walking charity are encouraging everyone to get online and find your nearest walk at www.pathsforall.org.uk/healthwalkfinder
