The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Building Communities (APPG on Building Communities) exists to promote the importance of infrastructure in building and connecting our communities. As part of its remit, the APPG conducts research to build an evidence base that can be used by policy makers when engaging with the built and natural environment.
This paper aims to build an evidence base that can be used by policy makers when addressing the built and natural environment.
The APPG focuses on the human dimension to infrastructure investment and provides an important addition to the public debate by showing how infrastructure facilitates our ability to interact in public spaces. The APPG seek to raise awareness on the social benefits of well-designed infrastructure and public spaces through engagement with infrastructure clients, industry and political stakeholders.
