The Meadows #myparklove

The Meadows remain one of the most important open spaces in Edinburgh and one of the most popular. There’s something for everyone with the biggest play area in the city, large grassed areas, tennis courts, cafe and toilets.

Formed in 2001 the Friends of the Meadows & Bruntsfield Links carry out a range of activities to promote and improve the parks including securing funds for projects such as the Meadows Mural.

For lots of Edinburgh residents the Meadows are the Lungs of Edinburgh allowing us all to breathe and spread out right in the city centre.

What is greenspace?

Greenspaces are the 'green lungs' of our towns and cities which contribute to improving people's physical and mental health by providing places for informal recreation and 'breathing spaces' to take time out from the stresses of modern life.
