In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, Child in the City have taken the decision to postpone this autumn’s Child in the City Conference in Dublin, instead the first Child in the City webinar will place on 22 September, between 14:00 and 16:00 Central European Time.

Making connections in the time of COVID-19 seems to be more difficult than ever. We have all been isolated in our homes, combining work and personal, career and care, and teaching and play. But what do we know about the significance of this crisis to families and children?

Child in the City are bringing together three  experts who will reflect on the effects of the coronavirus for children growing up. Each with a focus on a different topic:

Play: Tim Gill Independent researcher and consultant Rethinking Childhood, UK
Health: Jon Sigfusson, Director, Planet Youth | ICSRA, Iceland
Urban Planning: Helen Jarvis PhD, Reader in Urban Social Geography at Newcastle University, UK
