A Policy Toolkit has been launched providing recommendations for policymakers working at different levels of governance, from the EU to the local level. It aims to help them contribute to restoring the environment, promoting better health, and fostering greater equity – achieving a “triple-win”. It includes ten recommendations, and three concrete tools for action.

One of the recommendations is accessible quality greenspace containing policy guidance for different levels of governance, as well as concrete European examples. The tools for action includes a database of promising practices that encourage people to adopt behaviours that contribute to environmental sustainability, to better health and to reducing health inequalities.

INHERIT, a 4-year EU-funded Horizon 2020 research project, is about stimulating effective policies, practices and innovations that address key environmental stressors of health and the underlying causes of health inequity. Coordinated by EuroHealthNet, it consists of 18 partners from around Europe. For more information, please visit the website or follow on Twitter.
