MyParkScotland takes part in Urban by Nature webinar

MyParkScotland and greenspace scotland were both delighted to take part in a webinar on Tuesday 29 October talking about Financing and Business Models for Nature-Based Solutions.

greenspace scotland is a partner of Connecting Nature, working closely with Glasgow City Council. Connecting Nature is a €12m five-year project funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Innovation Action Programme.

The interview with Ian Goodman, MyParkScotland Project Manager, and Emma Halliday, Programme Manager (Scotland) focused on on raising funds through crowdfunding to deliver nature-based solutions. Both individuals and businesses can support NBS, with an investment strategy to develop longer-term sustainability and endowment funds. MyParkScotland is helping people to discover and support their local parks.

Greenspaces are the 'green lungs' of our towns and cities which contribute to improving people's physical and mental health by providing places for informal recreation and 'breathing spaces' to take time out from the stresses of modern life.
