Alasdair Allan MSP, SNP - Castle Grounds in Stornoway

The Castle Grounds in Stornoway are a truly unique space.

Once famed as virtually the only trees in Lewis, the space is enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.  The grounds include trees and plants from the original castle-owner’s visits to the far east, as well as new developments like a sunken garden and trails through the woods and along the coast.

They complement the castle itself and the islands museum within it and are of key importance to the people of the island.
