greenspace scotland is delighted to announce that Lorraine Tulloch has been appointed as our new Chief Executive. She will take up the role from 26 February 2024.

Lorraine joins us from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow where she has been leading Obesity Action Scotland since its inception in 2015. She has previous experience in roles with the Scottish Government, Scottish Natural Heritage, local authorities and as an independent consultant and interim manager, including developing and leading work on ‘Good Places, Better Health’.

Claire Mennim, Chair of greenspace scotland, said:

“The Board of Trustees are looking forward to working with Lorraine to ensure everyone has easy access to quality greenspaces, which meet their needs, and improve their quality of life. Her experience in bringing together voices from a range of organisations and influencing policy making will be greatly valued as greenspace scotland drives forward our business development plan for the next 5 years.”

Lorraine Tulloch, Chief Executive Designate said:

"I am delighted and honoured to be appointed to lead greenspace scotland. I am looking forward to building on the great work that has been done so far by staff and partners and finding opportunities to increase the reach and impact of the organisation. Greenspace plays such a crucial role in our health and wellbeing and our planet’s health, and it will be a privilege to contribute to this important topic.”

Our outgoing Chief Executive, Julie Procter, will work with Lorraine during March 2024 to ensure a seamless transition for our staff, partners and colleagues.
