Today Everyone’s Environment, of which greenspace scotland is one of many collaborative partners, publishes “Making environmental policy inclusive in Scotland”.

This report includes recommendations on improving access to green and blue spaces, a reflection of one of the priorities selected by focus groups of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic People, young people, Disabled people. and older people.

Everyone has the right to a healthy environment and this report is part of the work to ensure environmental policy is more inclusive.

Lorraine Tulloch, Chief Executive of greenspace scotland said:

People across Scotland value their local greenspaces and a growing number want to get involved in how those areas are managed. We must ensure the opportunity to access, use and gain the benefits of greenspace are available to all the population.

We are delighted to support this report and its recognition of the importance of engaging with and actively involving local communities in greenspace management.”
