The Necropolis has been described as a ‘unique representation of Victorian Glasgow, built when Glasgow was the second city of the empire. It reflects the feeling of confidence and wealth and security of that time.

The Friends of Glasgow Necropolis are organise guided walks of this unique greenspace. The group are with the help of MyParkScotland fundraising for Monteath Mausoleum Restoration.

A Tesco Bags of Help grant of £4,000 was received by the Friends to carry out path improvements.
