News and events News In-nature therapy service in Bristol and Bath gets NL funding boost Based in Bristol and Bath, Roots to Wellbeing is a weekly programme of outdoors wellbeing activities in parks for anybody struggling with their mental health, feeling lonely, anxious or isolated. People can be referred by healthcare professionals or can self-refer. They have recently received over £200K of National Lottery funding to continue and expand the service from current delivery in 3 specific parks to also creating city-wide volunteering opportunities with other park groups. One participant said: I have been off work this week due to sickness and I have been starting to worry about many things including money. I have never grown anything from seed but watching these little green shoots spring up has given me so much joy and made me feel better. It brings you back from worrying about things and reinforces that the simplest little thing can bring joy Activities include: Wildflower planting Nature photography Cutting, clearing and pruning Hammered leaf prints Meditation and grounding Freedom to just go along and watch The Roots to Wellbeing programme is delivered by Your Park Bristol & Bath Current open National Lottery funding programmes Manage Cookie Preferences
