The way in which we own and use land matters and can help deliver wider benefits and contribute to Scotland’s national outcomes.

The public sector has an important role to play. The NHS estate can support public health, addressing health inequalities and  climate change impacts. As an Anchor Institution, the NHS has a responsibility to work with and contribute to the communities in which is situated using a place-based approach to achieve community benefit.

This online event will provide an overview of the Land Rights and Responsibilities framework for NHS Estate as landowners Highlight how the NHS as a Community Anchor organisation can through estate management engage with communities; support Community Wealth Building (land and assets pillar) and deliver Scotland’s national outcomes. Showcase examples of where this is happening across health boards.

The event is suitable for those from other public sector organisations interested in how to manage their land assets for community benefit.
