Alongside its Rethinking Parks innovation funding, greenspace scotland is pleased to announce it has been awarded a CARES Innovation grant through the Energy Saving Trust and Local Energy Scotland to extend its ParkPower programme. 

The funding, matched by contributions from Falkirk Council, Falkirk Community Trust and North Lanarkshire Council, will undertake an Options Appraisal for low carbon energy opportunities in five parks across the two authorities. The project will involve staff from both local authorities including those managing greenspace assets and those overseeing energy related strategy and delivery. 

The project is due to commence imminently and be completed by March 2020. greenspace scotland will be issuing invitations to tender to suitable contractors for this work over the next few weeks. More information here or email [email protected].
