Glasgow City Council has authored an active travel transformation plan for Pollok Park ahead of the planned reopening of the Burrell Collection in Spring 2021.

To accommodate an anticipated rise in foot and vehicle traffic the council proposes to improve public transport links while enhancing cycle and pedestrian links.
A key objective of this work will be to relocate traffic and parking to the periphery of the park as far as possible while making it easier to access the park on foot and by bike through the creation of a new segregated pedestrian route from Haggs Road, a dual cycle lane on Pollok Avenue and a bike hire station at the Burrell.
