Scottish walking charities urge government to invest in walking Paths for All, Living Streets Scotland and Ramblers Scotland have come together to launch a new call for the Scottish Government to ‘Walk Back Better’, ahead of the Holyrood elections in May Walk Back Better is calling for increased investment and support in the following areas: Deliver better access to walking for everyoneCreation of a £50m walking infrastructure fund and producing better design standards for walking and wheeling Make walking easy and enjoyableIncrease investment for walking behaviour change programmes, improve accessibility to paths through mapping and promotion and ensure our planning system prioritises walking Ensure walking is safe in every communityProtect pedestrians with 20mph speed limits, and reducing traffic and pollution outside our schools Manage Cookie Preferences
