Share Your Story: Lyne Burn Voices Project Have you spent time around Lyne Burn, Rex Park, or Touch Community Garden? Maybe you’ve noticed more wildlife, joined a community garden, or simply walked or cycled through these greenspaces. However you use these places, your voice matters. Lyne Burn Voices is a new project by greenspace scotland that’s capturing stories and experiences from local people about how the restoration of the Lyne Burn Corridor has impacted them. In recent years, the Burn has been “given its wiggle back” - re-naturalised to bring back nature, reduce flood risk, and create more welcoming green and blue spaces for everyone to enjoy. We’d love to hear how these changes have affected you and what the area means to you. It is still possible to take part: Take the Online Survey Share your experiences and observations in our short survey - it only takes a few minutes and helps us understand the community impact of the project. Complete the survey here Free Community Workshop At the end of Nov 25 we delivered a friendly, get-together to share stories, memories. The workshop took place at Abbeyview Community Hub, Dunfermline with Fife-based artist Katie Fowlie leading the creative activities inspired by water and Dunfermline’s textile heritage. We were joined by locals and volunteers from Touch Community Garden to tell us their stories, they created beautiful “bluespace” cyanotype postcards, crafted clootie messages and recorded their thoughts using audio and video. Helping us to shape the story of Lyne Burn’s renewal. Lyne Burn Voices is funded by the Forth2O Policy Innovation Partnership’s Small Commissioning Awards. Manage Cookie Preferences
