Stronger Starts supporting Scottish schools

From Glasgow to Selkirk and up to Montrose, Tesco Stronger Starts is here to support schools, young people, and community groups across Scotland. Every three months awards up to £1,500, £1,000, and £500 are made to local projects in each of Scotland’s 87 regions - 261 projects benefiting every quarter, and over 1,000 projects every year.

Imagine what your group could achieve with just a bit of extra help. Whether you’re improving playgrounds, developing school gardens, or getting kids kitted out for outdoor adventures - your project could be next!

Here’s how others have used the funding:

Selkirk High School transformed waste ground into a sensory garden where everyone can enjoy nature, including those with mobility or vision challenges.
Lochside Early Learning Childcare Centre, Montrose, purchased mud suits and outdoor gear for year-round outdoor play.
St Patrick's Primary School, Glasgow, developed a "Nourish" programme, bringing families together to cook, play, and eat.
Borrowfield Primary School, Montrose, improved their garden, growing fresh fruit and veg for the school cookery club and stocking the food bank to support families.
