Keep Scotland Beautiful and RECOUP are coordinating an 'Upstream Battle Week of Action' from 14-20 September 2019. The week of action seeks to raise the profile of marine litter and inspire action across the Clyde Valley to prevent it.

80% of all marine litter comes from land, where litter is washed into gutters, blown into streams or discarded. This means that litter in our streets and parks is not only costly to clean up but is a threat to the marine environment.

Keep Scotland Beautiful and RECOUP are calling on individuals, communities and business to get involved in activities and raise awareness of the marine litter problem and ultimately stop litter from getting into the Clyde.
