The park is extremely popular with the public being one of the most visited parks in Glasgow, containing extensive formal and informal gardens, an arboretum, a boating pond, bowling greens and tennis courts.

Named for Queen Victoria's golden jubilee in 1887 and is considered to be Glasgow's prettiest park. There are a wide variety of facilities to suit all age groups including The Fossil Grove Museum.
