Scottish Government is working with partners: the Scottish Flood Forum, ClimateXChange and Sniffer to create a Flood Resilience Strategy that addresses the experiences and concerns of the people of Scotland by engaging and listening to our communities.

We know that our climate has changed and will continue to change for decades after emissions are stabilised at net zero, and that the impacts of climate change will affect everyone. Scotland’s weather has become warmer and wetter, sea levels are rising at an accelerating rate, and we have seen more extreme rainfall events. These trends are set to continue and intensify.

Input from this online engagement survey will help us build a picture of what we think flood resilient places of the future might look like and what we need to do to make this happen. The output will help us develop the strategy that we will take to public consultation next spring.
