greenspace scotland has been placemaking with communities in Scotland since 2005.

From the link below you can access case studies showing the breadth of our work and how community placemaking has changed actions and places for the better at the local level. These include: Barrhead Green Network, Dunfermline, Renfrewshire and Lauriston (Gorbals), Glasgow and Ardrishaig, Argyll.

You can also view reports from three communities who worked with us on the “Tackling litter by re-purposing greenspaces” programme. The programme was supported by Zero Waste Scotland and used an action research approach to test the idea that creating pleasant and attractive community spaces with the people that use those spaces will reduce levels of litter and fly tipping and will change people’s behaviour.
