Kirsty joined greenspace scotland in 2025 as a Community Enabler for Tesco Stronger Starts, a fund that supports local community projects across Scotland with a focus on children and young people.

For Tesco Stronger Starts Kirsty covers Shetland, Orkney and East Scotland, including the following local authority areas - Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Clackmannanshire, Dundee, Fife, Moray, Orkney Islands, Perth & Kinross, Shetland Islands and Stirling.  

Kirsty has a background in community development and green health. She previously ran a Scotland-wide mental health and greenspace project, and has also worked for the National Trust for Scotland Participation team. More recently she worked for a Development Trust supporting volunteer projects in areas such as greenspace, dementia support and a charity shop. Kirsty has also worked on various freelance projects including the redevelopment of a historic building into a community venue, providing training to greenspace staff, and writing.
