We are delighted to announce that greenspace scotland's  project in Dunfermline has been shortlisted for the Scottish Quality Awards in Planning Awards in the Young People category.

Working with Youth Scotland and Youth First, we worked with young people and the wider community in Dunfermline to develop a greenspace-based town centre regeneration exemplar using a combination of the greenspace scotland community placemaking tools, the Town Centre Toolkit, the Place Standard and a range of youth work approaches.

This was a pilot project funded and supported by the Scottish Government’s Town Centre Planning Pilots Programme that used innovative approaches to community engagement and placemaking. It also informed the development of our current Young Placechangers programme, supported by Heritage Lottery Fund and Scottish Government, which is enabling us to work with other youth groups and young people to extend activity to other parts of Scotland over the next 2 years.
